__。o*†ABOUT THIS BLOG†*o。__
I've enjoyed translating for a while as a hobby and I thought it would be nice to have a place to share my work online. You'll mostly find lyrics from Visual kei artists, and sometimes interviews. What you won't see on my blog are translations of audiovisual material, translations of material from bands who have explicitly expressed they do not want anyone publishing translations of their material (eg Versailles), or blog translations (if I translate blogs they will get posted straight to the respective street team sites).

In the not so distant future I'll probably be adding general articles and reviews on Visual Kei to provide more unique content so stay tuned!

__。o*†ME†*o。__
I'm Gizorz, a 21 year old Visual Kei fan and I've currently been studying Japanese for 4 years at my University, with a minor in translation, and I passed the JLPT N2 level. I'm nowhere near the level of fluency I want to be at, so I can't guarantee there aren't any mistakes, but I now feel confident enough to share my work online. Feel free to correct me if you find any mistakes, I won't be offended!

I try to translate quite freely in an attempt to convey the same meaning or feeling of the original, this is my personal preference. Japanese and English differ a lot in terms of expression and I don't want to make the lyrics I translate more confusing by holding on to the original expressions. Bear in mind that these translations are only my personal interpretation and that by no means I consider them to be absolute. I recommend your read other translators' works as well!

Feel free to share my translations elsewhere, I want them to be read. But even though it's just a hobby, translating does take a lot of time, so I'd really appreciate it if you'd properly credit and link back to my blog in a visible manner, because I do enjoy getting recognition for my work ;)
